Z84C1008PEC Overview

The Z80 Direct Memory Access MPU, hereafter referred to as the Z80 DMA or DMA, is a powerful and versatile device for controlling and processing transfers of data. Its basic function of managing CPU-independent transfers between two ports is augmented by an array of features that optimize transfer speed and control with little or no external logic in systems using an 8- or 16-bit data bus and a 16-bit address bus.

  • Next-operation loading without disturbing current operations via buffered starting-address registers.

  • 6 MHz version supports 6.144 MHz CPU clock operation clock
