With the help of PoE technology, traditional equipment has new functions, and its technology greatly reduces the difficulty of deploying equipment.
PoE (Power Over Ethernet) is called a local area network-based power supply system? Or Active Ethernet (Active Ethernet), sometimes also referred to as Power Over Ethernet for short, refers to the existing Ethernet Cat.5 Without any changes to the wiring infrastructure, while transmitting data signals for some IP-based terminals (such as IP telephones, wireless LAN access points, network cameras, etc.), it can also provide DC power supply for such devices Technology. A complete PoE system includes two parts: Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and Powered Device (PD).
NCP1095/NCP1096 are ON Semiconductor’s Ethernet Powered Device (PoE-PD) series solutions that comply with IEEE802.3bt, IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards, and support the development of high-power applications such as connected lighting and USB Type C. NCP1095/NCP1096 combines all the necessary functions in the PoE-PD system, such as detection, classification and start of the output stage. NCP1096 integrates hot-swappable MOSFETs, which can provide up to 90 W of output power; NCP1095 moves the hot-swappable MOSFETs to the outside, and the output power can be flexibly adjusted as required, up to 100W. NCP1095/NCP1096 also supports Autoclass, which can improve the performance of the system, and by automatically pairing power supply, it can simplify the circuit design process and settings, and optimize the power output of the PD.
